Fabrication Shop, Mussafah, Abu Dhabi, UAE 

 

 

Our fabrication shop in Abu Dhabi has been expanded to a high quality facility capable of meeting the rigorous standards demanded by the oil and gas industry.  Utilising our long history of expertise in the field of fabrication we are now able to offer high quality fabrication services to further enhance our service.

 

Our extensive experience, competent workforce, rigorous safety and quality management combined with our excellent location and facilities, including offshore access, makes Costain Abu Dhabi the ideal choice for any oil and gas industry fabrication work.

 

We are well placed to take on any support fabrication work be it for large or small projects. We are able to carry out any piping fabrication and spooling jobs and any general support fabrication for our clients and are in the process of further developing the facility.

 

The fabrication facility is situated in the company premises, adjacent to the Costain Abu Dhabi headquarters, thus our Quality and Safety management team are always on hand to ensure that high standards are maintained at all times.

 

Our welders and fabricators are well experienced in the field of Oil and Gas welding and fabrication and are qualified to high standards. Our Quality team ensures compliance with all our clients' inspection and testing requirements utilising our Implementing Best Practice quality system which allows us to control our processes from the work winning stage right through to project completion.

 

With the expansion of our fabrication facility in Mussafah we are now able to take on smaller fabrication projects in support of any onshore or offshore oil and gas facilities.

Engineering Capability 

 

The engineering office has been developed to further enhance our capabilities and services to our clients. We offer in-house engineering services providing the same high level of quality we have demonstrated for many years in the UK.

 

Costain has a proven multi-discipline Engineering and Design capability. This has been developed through the delivery of complex and challenging projects across a wide range of industries and engineering activities from conceptualisation to commissioning undertaken by the offices based in Manchester, UK. This experience in engineering design has now been introduced to Costain Abu Dhabi Company.

 

Costain Abu Dhabi Co. now has a full in-house group of engineers and designers established to provide a high quality service to our clients with emphasis is on mechanical and civil projects with minor E & I content.

 

Engineering design within Costain is conducted to mandatory HSE & Quality procedures and design assessments. The primary priority is to meet corporate and professional obligations for safe design whilst ensuring conformance to industry related legislation, national standards, customer specification and delivery of cost effective whole life engineering solutions and design.

Shutdown Capability

 

 

Costain has undertaken numerous shutdowns and has detailed knowledge of the process and resources required to deliver safely, within budget and within the shortest time period.

 

Costain's labour mobilisation for shutdowns is based on extensive shutdown and EPC experience gained over many years. We have operated a recruitment office in Mumbai for 25 years and have a database detailing information on over 6,000 skilled tradesmen, ensuring a depth of expertise that is required to work on shutdown projects. Costain also has a strong and long-standing relationship with the Ministry of Labour and Immigration authorities, facilitating smooth and efficient mobilisation /demobilisation of labour, thus protecting our schedule.

 

Costain has a management process, ‘Implementing Best Practice', providing a value delivery assurance system that brings significant benefits to the project and client. The system requires rigorous control and planning at each stage of the project from bidding through execution to close out, through a series of control ‘gates'. By utilising this system on shutdown projects, we are able to ensure our clients receive timely delivery and quality exceeding their expectations..

 

The company is committed to safety on all our projects and recently scored the highest score amongst all contractors on Das Island in a client led HSE audit.

 

We enjoy excellent working relationships with our suppliers and subcontractors and all are committed to our scrupulous HSE and Quality commitments. Costain focuses on continuous improvement across all areas of the business and our effective working methods have been developed over many shutdown projects ensuring each is delivered better than the last.
